Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection & Fitting Station

PLACE: the rear parking lot of the Ilion Municipal Building
TIME: 9:00am to 3:00pm
WHERE: North Slocum Dickson Parking Lot
ABOUT: This free service is provided to parents and/or caregivers of children
who are age required to utilize child passenger safety seats (including booster seats) while in
a motor vehicle. The free service is also provided to expectant parents who are unsure or need
assistance with the proper use of their infant child passenger safety seat. The Ilion Police
Department (in addition to Certified Technicians from other police agencies) will be conducting
this free event, which is open to the public and is not limited to just Ilion residents.
Certified National Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians will be conducting free inspections
and assisting parents and/or caregivers in the proper installation and use of their child passenger
safety seats. Technicians will also determine if seats presently being used are no longer safe,
factory re-called, damaged, expired, improperly installed, too small / large for the child, etc...
In addition to the inspections, Technicians will provide reference literature and materials,
as well as answer questions. No appointment is necessary. If there are questions concerning this
